Who Is Matthew?
A Charlotte native, I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A). I started my education at Appalachian State University before moving on to complete my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern New Hampshire University. I joined Counseling Services at Steele Creek in January 2025 to work with, and be supervised by, Holly Horn.
My experience includes adolescent and adult therapy with specialties in trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, identity issues, and familial trauma.
My mission is to create a safe space for others to work through their issues. I want to help clients reach their therapeutic goals and live a life of authenticity.
I live in Charlotte with my partner, Eric, and a sassy, senior Golden Collie, Murray. Otherwise, I am an avid reader and voracious learner and I’m looking forward to meeting you, learning about you, and helping you get started on your journey.
